When you purchase a product from Melora and provide your details - for example by asking a question - we may inform you about other products from Melora in the future.

3. you create an account (and shop in our webshop)

In order to place an order via our website, you can register as a customer. You will then create a password-protected account linked to your e-mail address. You enter your details yourself and can change them at any time by logging into your account.

What data do we process?
We process the following data:

  • First and last name

  • Home/delivery address

  • E-mail address

  • Telephone number

  • IP address

  • Products you have looked at in the last 60 days

  • Your account number/account details

  • Which products you have ordered

  • Your last visit and login are also recorded

  • Payment details

    • We do not process your payment details. Payments in our webshop are handled by a third party (Payment Service Provider, PSP). Through our PSP you can pay securely in different ways. You enter your credit card or bank details only on their secure pages and complete your order there.

    • We only receive a notification from the PSP if your payment has been completed, but we do not have access to your card or account numbers.

If you choose payment via Klarna
Same as above - but we also record your date of birth, which is required to verify your payment. This information is shared with Klarna.
Klarna reserves the right to conduct a credit check.

Purpose
Melora uses your data for the following purposes:

  • We use the data you save in your account to process your orders - that is, to fulfill the contract with you.

  • We use your IP address, email address and information about your online behavior to improve our online services, products and your browsing experience. More information on this, including the possibility to refuse the use of cookies, can be found in our cookie policy.

Legal basis
The processing of the above data is necessary to fulfill your order - i.e. to fulfill the contract we have with you.

Custom audience-targeting
When you order products from us, and have given us your consent, we may also use your email address for custom audience targeting via Facebook.
Melora creates a custom audience group by uploading email addresses from its customers into an advertising tool. This group can then be linked to a specific Facebook campaign - only these Facebook users will see the campaign.

4. you shop in our webshop without a login/account

To place an order via our website, it is not necessary to register a customer account. You fill in the details required for us to process your order, and you can change these details yourself at any time.

  • What products you have ordered

We do not process your payment details. Payments to our webshop are handled via a third party (Payment Service Provider, PSP). Through our PSP you can pay securely in different ways. You enter your card or bank details only on their secure pages and complete the order there.
We only receive a confirmation from the PSP if your payment has been completed - we never get access to your card or account number.

If you choose to pay via Klarna
If you choose to pay via Klarna, the above applies, but we also record your date of birth, which is required to verify your payment. This information is shared with Klarna.
Klarna reserves the right to conduct a credit check.

Purpose
Melora uses your data for the following purposes:

The processing of the above data is necessary for the execution of your order - that is, to fulfill the contract we have with you. In the case of the use of your IP address, the legal basis is also our legitimate interests (the improvement of our services and the secure operation of our website).

If you stay on a page for a longer time, a chat function can be started. You can also start a chat with our customer service on the website yourself. Here you can enter a (fictitious) chat name.

HOW IS YOUR DATA PROTECTED?

Melora beauty understands the importance of protecting your personal data. The data stored in our database is protected with standard technical security measures in accordance with applicable data security standards.

You can only access your account by correctly entering your e-mail address and password. All passwords and sensitive data are encrypted and not visible to us.

Our websites and web applications are protected with SSL certificates. You can see this on the padlock next to the URL in the browser. All data you send and receive via our website is encrypted and cannot be read by third parties.

All data transfers between our website and our processing partners also take place via secure connections.

HOW LONG IS YOUR DATA STORED?

Melora Beauty does not store your data longer than what is permitted by law and what is necessary for the purpose of the processing. The storage time depends on the type of data and purpose.

The following storage periods apply:

  • Data on complaints or queries: up to 6 months after completion
  • Purchase data: 5 years (legal limitation period)
  • Administrative data linked to purchases: 7 years (fiscal retention period)
