What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser when you visit a website. They can contain, for example, your chosen preferences (so you don't have to choose every time), an anonymous ID to count unique visitors and information about the pages you visited to show you more relevant pages.

Cookies can therefore be used to create an anonymous user profile, but they never contain personal information such as name or address.

Melora (Mevoria AB) uses cookies for various purposes as described below.

Functional cookies

We use functional cookies to ensure that the website works properly and is easy to use. Example:

  • Saving your preferences (e.g. language)

  • Remembering choices when you navigate (e.g. filters or shopping cart)

  • Saving the cart contents for the next visit

  • Remember login (if you have selected this in your browser)

  • Enable chat with customer service

  • Distribute traffic between servers for faster loading

Analytical cookies

We measure website usage with third-party tools to:

  • Identify and fix errors

  • Increase ease of use

  • Test new features and designs (A/B testing)

Examples of tools and what they do:

  • Google Analytics: statistics such as page views, unique users, session time, conversions, etc.

  • Hotjar: analysis of page behavior and click patterns (see Hotjar privacy policy)

  • Visual Website Optimizer (VWO): A/B testing and user testing (see VWO privacy policy)

Advertising cookies

We work with advertising networks to show relevant ads to users who may be interested in our products. These cookies are used to create an anonymous profile based on the pages you visited, so that ads can be personalized.

  • Cookies do not contain personal information such as name or address.

  • Cookies can link a displayed advertisement to a purchase, so that the network is correctly compensated.

We use the following networks, among others:
Rakuten/Linkshare, Adcell, Tracdelight, Tradetracker, Google, Microsoft, Adform, Appnexus, Facebook, Quantcast, VE Interactive, Outbrain, Criteo, Partnerize, DCMN.
